Entry Requirements
Students in Year 11 must be able to demonstrate an interest or experience in this industry. It is recommended to have above basic mathematics SACE Stage 1 – Mathematical Methods (Algebra & Transposition etc.) as participants needs to be able to apply physical laws as well as solve mathematical problems. Students in Year 11 will also need to undertake the VET Readiness Orientation (VETRO) process in Semester 3, 2025 via a referral process completed at their Home School using an online form. Once the Home School has completed the referral process, students will be required to undertake a Snapshot Reading and Numeracy Assessment to demonstrate sufficient literacy and numeracy ability. This will be conducted at Mount Barker High School. Date to be confirmed.
Additional Information
Students will need to bring the following: charged laptop, scientific calculator, pencil, ruler, notebook and school diary. Students will be required to wear closed shoes when in the classroom and steel capped boots when completing practical/workshop activities. Students will be required to wear their school uniform from weeks 1 to 5. 100% cotton long sleeve shirt will be supplied by PEER after week 5. Students will be required to wear long pants (no polyester brands).
